The street sports and culture festival “Ghetto Games” will take place in Daugavpils on Saturday, June 4. Competitions and shows in several disciplines will be held on Vienības Square for 10 hours. The registration of festival participants is already active, but the entry for spectators is absolutely free, informs portal balticevents.info.
One of the biggest hip-hop dance competitions will take place within the festival. Both Lavia dancers and participants from Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Lithuania and other countries will take part. All will compete for the title of the best dancer of the Ghetto Games.
Dancers compete in a one-on-one format in different age groups U11, U15 and U16. For the first time in Latvia, the winner of the world level competition – Joseph GO from France – will judge the competition.
Throughout the day, there is a program of shows, live broadcast on a big screen, contests for the audience and other entertainment activities accompanied by a DJ.
“Ghetto Games” is currently one of the largest youth street sports and cultural movements in Latvia and Eastern Europe, which annually gathers more than 10,000 participants and 300,000 followers in the media and social networks.
