The fixtures set to be missed by suspended Manchester United midfielder Casemiro over the coming weeks have, late on Saturday, been confirmed.
The name of Brazilian international Casemiro, of course, took its place front and centre in the headlines earlier this afternoon.
This came upon the former Real Madrid standout being sent for an early bath during United’s Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace.
En route to an eventual 2-1 Red Devils triumph, Casemiro – never one to back down from a heated exchange – was at the heart of a late-game scuffle.
Upon the incident being investigated by the VAR team overseeing proceedings at Old Trafford, it was subsequently decided that the 30-year-old’s infringement was worthy of a red.
This came after he was spotted grabbing and holding Palace counterpart Will Hughes by the throat.
Beyond his premature exit from the action on Saturday, this of course also means that Casemiro is now set for an incoming spell out of action.
As per the FA’s rules on straight red cards, the Brazilian will be suspended for Manchester United’s next three domestic fixtures.
Casemiro, as a result, will sit out an upcoming Premier League double header with Leeds, as well as an Old Trafford showdown with Leicester on February 19th.
