Pokémon Films Get BD Collection in November

Viz Media announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday that it will release a 16-disc limited edition Blu-ray collection of all 24 Pokémon movies released so far on Amazon exclusively on November 24. The disc collection comes with a special Pokéball-shaped container. The box set is available for pre-order now in the United States.

The box set is priced at US$399.99. The set includes a mini art booklet with images from the films. Amazon lists the release with Japanese language. However, no movies in the franchise have had Japanese language releases in the U.S. Amazon also lists Ash Ketchum’s original English voice actor Veronica Taylor as a contributor, and it uses dub names such as Ash and Pokémon: The First Movie.

The 24 movies released so far in the franchise include two versions each of the Mewtwo Strikes Back and Victini films.

The Pokémon Company announced on Monday an all-new anime film for the franchise titled Pokémon: Wild Card. The film will open in 2027. CloverWorks is animating the film.

The film is the 24th anime film in the franchise (if the Victini films are counted as one) and is the first since Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle (Gekijōban Pocket Monster Koko), which opened in Japan in December 2020. Netflix started streaming the film in October 2021.
