On February 17, the State Border Guard 2023 championship volleyball competition was held in the Professional and Tactical Training Center of the State Border Guard College in Rēzekne. The best volleyball players from the territorial administrations of the State Border Guard and the College of the State Border Guard came to the competition.
Taking into account last year’s results, the teams were divided into two subgroups. Subgroup matches were played in a round-robin format, and then the best teams qualified for the playoffs.
The team of the Daugavpils Administration of the State Border Guard won the victory, consisting of Mihails Majevskis, Juris Užulis, Inna Zaņevska, Anastasija Shatokhina, Emanuels Muižnieks, Konstantīns Marchenko, Devids Žolnerovičs, Aleksandrs Samuilovs, Ainārs Žilinskis and Elmārs Rudovičs. On the other hand, the 2nd place was won by the selection of the Riga Administration of the State Border Guard and the 3rd place was won by the selection of the College of the State Border Guard.
