this year On May 6, an Open Door Day was held at the State Border Guard College. About 100 interested people visited the educational institution and got to know it in person. Interest in learning opportunities at the State Border Guard College was shown mainly by young people from the cities of Rēzekne and Daugavpils, as well as those interested from the Latgale region and other places in Latvia: Ventspils, Riga, Olaine and Smilten.
The event was held with the aim of introducing the educational institution, providing information on learning opportunities and admission rules. Those interested took a look at the training auditoriums, the service hotel, the museum and the sports center, viewed the State Border Guard’s armament, machinery, equipment, technical and special means, as well as visited the canine center and watched demonstrations by cynologists and service dogs. The demonstration flight and inspection of the helicopter of the Aviation Administration of the State Border Guard was a special pleasure.
The State Border Guard College offers the opportunity to become a border guard (qualification – State Border Guard Inspector) within one year, by studying the professional further education program “Border Guard”. Admission for the 2022/2023 academic year will take place from this year. June 1 to July 22. Documents can be submitted both electronically and in person – at the territorial offices of the State Border Guard.
