Ty Dolla $ign announces a massive multi-stadium listening event with Kanye West to premiere their upcoming collaborative album — but it probably won’t be in Italy.

Ty Dolla $ign has announced a “multi-stadium listening event” on November 3 to premiere his upcoming collaborative album with Kanye West. The singer took to social media on Monday (October 23) to announce the event, but revealed no stadium locations despite it taking place less than two weeks away.

Ye and Ty were rumored to be planning a performance of the project at a concert at Italy’s RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia on October 27 — rescheduled from October 20 — but those plans fell through. Reggio Emilia locals (many of whom are World War II veterans who fought against the Nazis) and other organizations in the region, objected to a Kanye concert taking place following the rapper’s comments praising Adolf Hitler.

“It’s time to say enough to these people who believe they can say what they want,” Albertina Soliani, Vice President of ANPI, the National Association of Italian Partisans, told The Daily Mail. “Someone can be a fantastic singer, but then they are also judged by what they say. West has made some inhumane declarations, and with what’s happening in the world today, we cannot accept this concert.”

“We are on the side of the oppressed, and not those who preach hate,” he continued.

The pair are also reportedly still shopping around for a distributor for their joint album, “with a number of options to choose from,” including Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group. Kanye’s long-standing relationship with Def Jam ended following the release of Donda in 2021, as the label was quick to create distance with him following his antisemitic rants last year.

Billboard speculates that the project will land with a smaller distributor, as some of the larger labels “have passed on the opportunity,” given Kanye’s history.
