Less than a week after the closed beta launched, Escape From Tarkov is already experiencing an issue with cheaters, as some of the top cheat developers expand their products to the new game.
Many of the well-known cheat providers have already launched products for Escape From Tarkov Arena, and it appears that most of them are just the standard Escape From Tarkov cheats that also work on the new Arena game.
Over the past day or two some clips of very obvious cheaters have appeared online, showing the extent of the cheats available. Many cheaters are not even trying to hide the fact they are cheating, with obvious aimbots and wall hacks. But it appears there are a range of less obvious cheats that can be used including radar hacks.
Cheating has long been an issue in Escape From Tarkov, but with the added kill cam feature in Arena it is now more obvious than ever when someone is cheating. While in the main game, you could often feel you were a victim of a cheater when actually they just hit a lucky shot, in Arena there is usually no doubt when a cheater is on the map as you can see their movement.
Weirdly the broken preset system in Arena that is causing a lot of players issues could help you against a cheater, as many seem to be running around with low-level weapons knowing they will hit instant headshots. However, if you have a strong preset with good armour you might have a chance to take them down before their bullets penetrate your armour.
How to report cheaters in Escape From Tarkov Arena
If you do come up against a cheater there is a way to report them, but you have to wait for the post-match screen. You’ll need to swipe across to the scoreboard and click on their name to bring up a menu where you can report them for cheating. While developers Battlestate Games does ban a lot of cheaters, Tarkov is a game that consistently sufferers with new cheats being launched and it appears that Arena will likely have the same fate.
With a large percentage of the community still waiting to get access to Arena you will probably start to see even more pop up as more people get access in the coming days. We have no idea when the next wave of invites will go out, but given that the servers have not been the most stable over recent days it is probably a good thing that the floodgates are not being opened to everyone.
