The world’s largest “Swan Lake” will be shown in Riga accompanied by a symphony orchestra

On November 12, the “International Festival Ballet” ballet troupe will perform the performance “Swan Lake and 48 Swans” on the stage of Arena Riga as part of the European concert tour, accompanied by a symphony orchestra, portal balticevents.info informs.

Still in shock from Russia’s war of inhuman aggression against Ukraine and feeling its effects, the famous “St.Petersburg Festival Ballet” changes its name to “International Festival Ballet”. The ballet troupe itself is now based in Germany.

With the name change, the artists clearly and unequivocally express their position. Festival Ballet is an international ballet that transcends national borders and represents understanding and coexistence in the poetry of art, music and dance. Since the start of the war, artists have expressed their stance against Russian aggression by participating in countless protests before and after each performance (EuroNews report). Therefore, Russia is currently a threat to them as well. It goes without saying that the troupe, which also includes many Ukrainian dancers, sees itself as a ballet of peace and human coexistence.
Uncompromising elegance combined with contemporary and 21st century influences, namely high-class dance performance, all complemented by luxurious costumes and gorgeous sets.

48 dancing swans – this is an absolute record. There have never been so many ballerinas on stage. According to the standard “Swan Lake” performances, 16-28 people participate. Tickets for the event are available at all “Bilešu Serviss” ticket offices.
