The Riga Symphony Orchestra will play the music of Hans Zimmer

On November 7, the new generation orchestra “Lords Of The Sounds” in “Arena Riga” will perform a new concert program “The Music of Hans Zimmer”, portal balticevents.info informs.

Hans Zimmer is a German film composer, who gained popularity after the cult film “Rain Man” appeared on the screens.

“When creating the music for “Rain Man”, I always thought: don’t try to silence the characters. Don’t lie in the foreground. The main character Raymond really doesn’t understand where he is. He sees the world differently than we do… Why not create “music for the world” that exists only in his head ? “- remembers Hans.

This work was a real breakthrough in his career – Zimmer was nominated for an Oscar. Hollywood’s top directors lined up to work with him. And Hans devoted himself to his work, often composing music for two or three films at the same time.

His music impressed the Disney studio so much that they commissioned Zimmer to compose for the cartoon The Lion King. The cartoon music brought the composer three very prestigious awards – “Oscar”, “Golden Globe” and “Grammy”.

And later Zimmer also received many awards, truly becoming the best of the best in Hollywood. It’s very rare for an Oscar ceremony to take place without nominee Zimmer.

The orchestra will perform scores from films such as Spider-Man 2, The Dark Knight, Sherlock Holmes, Iron Man, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mission Impossible and many more.

As part of the Riga concert, the musicians of “Lords Of The Sound” will present their show program, where the success already achieved with the orchestra concert combined with the best compositions of Hans Zimmer, rock bands, visual effects, strong vocal parts of soloists and choirs, the energy of the whole collective will create the feelings of a warm summer evening, which filled with compositions in a symphonic sound. Tickets for the big concert are available at all “Bilešu Serviss” ticket offices.
