On August 11 and 12, the annual “Riga Burger Festival” will take place in Esplanade Park Square. As part of the festival, representatives of several burger canteens and restaurants from all over Latvia are expected to compete for the title of the tastiest burger, portal balticevents.info informs.
For two days, a special celebratory program will be held at the Esplanade square:

“Every year, the event is attended by more than 10 thousand people from several cities of the country, and guests from abroad also gather. The goal of the festival was always to show the burger not only as “fast food”, but as a cult food and a whole culture already integrated into modern cuisine” – says Edgars Svencs, organizer of the “Riga Burger Festival”.
At the closing ceremony of the festival, a traditional festive concert will be held, where local artists will participate. As the organizers themselves say, every year the audience gets to know the concert participants only during their performance on stage. Musicians such as “Bad Habit”, Pētersons, the group “Keksi”, Māriņš Balodis and many others have already participated in the history of the festival.
Throughout the day, there is a program of shows, live broadcast on the big screen, contests for the audience and other entertainment accompanied by a DJ. By attending the event, you agree that you may be photographed and filmed.
