On May 6, the annual international choreographer competition “Best Show” will be held at “Atta Centre”, informs portal balticevents.info. Every year, more than 2,000 of the best European dancers demonstrate their skills on the main stage.
This time, participants and spectators are welcomed by a new large 150m2 stage with concert lights, led screens, special effects and many other technical solutions. All this will help the collective of any dance genre to demonstrate to the audience even the most extensive dance show in its maximum composition and realize any choreographer’s ideas on the competition stage.
According to tradition, the competition is judged by popular dancers and leading choreographers from several countries, as well as representatives of Latvian show business.
The winners of the Adult and Pro categories will receive a paid trip to the world-famous dance camp in Sicily – «Hyper Week», where more than 60 master classes will be held with 20 top instructors from all over the world.
This year, the number of participants in the competition is limited. Participation in the “Pro” category can be accepted only by the best collectives who have shown themselves before, as well as participants who went through video casting. Video casting continues until April 15 and more than 3,000 dancer applications have already been sent.
— Every year we try to organize a real festival for dancers. It is not a big event without restrictions in dance styles and directions, but also a platform with diverse technical possibilities, where choreographers can realize the most daring ideas of any dance genre – says Anastasija Jasvina, one of the organizers of the competition.
