Latvia’s leading tour operator Tez Tour has reserved 47% of the total available travel volume for the 2023 summer season – this significant figure has been reached since the start of travel sales for the next summer season in October 2022, the company informs.
“Already from the end of last year, when the pre-sale of trips for the upcoming summer season began, we observed that the demand for trips remains consistently high. People bought trips for both this winter season and the already approaching summer season with flights until the end of October,” says Konstantīns Paļgovs, chairman of the board of Tez Tour.
K. Paļgovs also adds that the number of visitors at the international tourism exhibition-fair Balttour, which took place this year after a two-year break, was significant. “There was a feeling that people are hungry for travel and learning new destinations, including they [travelers] have realized even more the benefits of buying travel during early booking promotions,” emphasizes the chairman of the board of Tez Tour.
During the tourism exhibition-fair Balttour, Tez Tour customers booked more than 600 trips, worth an average of €600-750 per person. “Overall, we are satisfied with the sales results we achieved at Balttour. Literally two days before the exhibition, we opened the sale of additional charter flights to Antalya, a destination highly sought after by travelers – these charter flights in cooperation with the national airline airBaltic will be conducted on Saturdays – in the periods of April-June and September-October. Thus, we will have up to 5 flights to Antalya every week, and even 2 charter flights on Saturdays,” says K. Palgov.
In the upcoming summer season of Tez Tour, there will also be several novelties – after a 4-year break, charter trips to Rimini (Italy) will be made again, while the current news and destinations of this summer season will be the islands of Sardinia (Italy) and Halkidiki (Greece). In general, the number of travel directions in the summer season (12 routes) will exceed the offer that existed in the seasons before the pandemic.
Although the company is currently recording a stable demand for winter and summer season travel, it is understandable that
right now it’s too early to say how the season will play out as a whole. The experience gained during the last 3 years makes us constantly follow the situation in the tourism market and adapt to it very quickly.
“Whatever the year 2023 will be in general, the main priorities of Tez Tour remain unchanged – to provide our customers with the highest quality trips in cooperation with our best cooperation partners,” emphasizes the chairman of the board of Tez Tour.
