“I didn’t understand anything, I just saw how the bus fell. My wife’s nose seems to be broken, but my legs hurt. Others even worse. At first they broke the glass, then the door to get us out. I had closed my eyes, I didn’t see anything. Okay, that I was holding on to the chair with my hand. Then I felt that something else fell on top of me,” says Viktors, a bus passenger.
Rescuers helped the driver and an elderly woman to get out of the vehicle.
“We took people out through the central door. People were seriously injured,” says VUGD. Six medical vehicles, including a team of medical specialists, arrived at the scene of the accident.
There is currently no information on why the bus left the road. Law enforcers have started criminal proceedings and are explaining the circumstances of the incident.
