Sega is hiring up for the Sonic Team, just as the series is celebrating its 35th anniversary.

As spotted by My Nintendo News, these roles include a few senior positions, including a producer, lead planner, lead graphics programmer, and a technical art manager.

Here’s the year 2 trailer for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds.Watch on YouTube

The project these new staff would be working on has not been established in the job listings, as you would expect. Still, it indicates the ramp up of development on something mysterious over in Shinigawa City, Japan.

These job listings not only come at a milestone year for the Sonic series, but following a largely brief showing at Summer Game Fest this year. That is, aside from a trailer for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds and Sonic: Pico Park. While those reveals certainly had merit, some fans walked away from the show disappointed at the lack of a bigger reveal from the company.

So, if you were a bit disappointed at the lack of a new Sonic Frontiers or Shadow the Hedgehog game, or whatever, maybe it’s just a matter of time.
