Sabrina Carpenter traveled extensively with Taylor Swift in 2023 and 2024, opening for the superstar on multiple dates of her The Eras Tour. The rising talent has reaped the benefits of being associated with one of the biggest stars in the world, and now she’s managed to match one of Swift’s most impressive feats on the American charts.
This week, Carpenter scores a trio of top 10 hits on the Hot 100. That’s a relatively uncommon showing, but the pop singer’s accomplishment is made even more remarkable, considering the fact that all three tracks land inside the upper half of the top 10. That is an exceptionally rare achievement.
Carpenter nearly scored her second career No. 1 with “Taste,” the latest single from her new album Short N’ Sweet. The track debuts at No. 2, just missing the top spot. Meanwhile, “Please Please Please” and “Espresso” both climb the charts, landing at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively, this frame.
According to Billboard, Carpenter is just the third woman in U.S. history to claim three top five hits on the Hot 100 simultaneously. She’s in elite company, joining both Swift and Ariana Grande, who have achieved the same feat in the past.
Grande topped the charts in 2019 with “7 Rings,” “Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” and “Thank U, Next,” with those hits claiming the top three spots on the Hot 100 all at once. They were featured on her album Thank U, Next, which opened at No, 1 at the same time.
Swift has achieved this feat multiple times, and she remains the only musician to occupy the entire top 10 of the Hot 100 simultaneously. She’s even managed that showing more than once.
Short N’ Sweet debuts at No. 1 on multiple charts this week, including the Billboard 200. It marks Carpenter’s first leader on the all-genre ranking. Her three current top 10 smashes on the Hot 100 are her first three to crack the upper region of the chart.
