The decision will not affect Ryanair’s operations at Brussels-Charleroi Airport, the airline’s main base in Belgium.
The airline states that this decision will be made after Brussels Zaventem Airport announced that prices will increase by 11% from April 2023.
“Ryanair” had already suspended its operations at this airport during the winter period, but now the head of the airline, Michael O’Leary, said that the operation of this base will not be restored.
The company explains that flights to 12 destinations from Zaventem airport will be carried out by aircraft that are not based at this airport.
As reported, “Ryanair” has faced several employee strikes in Belgium in recent weeks, demanding that the company fully comply with labor laws in the country.
