Independent music publishing leader Primary Wave Music has announced a partnership with award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Daniel Jones, known for his work as one half of Savage Garden.
Under the agreement, Primary Wave will partner with Jones on his songwriting catalog across Savage Garden’s two studio albums. The deal gives Jones access to Primary Wave’s global publishing infrastructure, including creative marketing, digital strategy, synchronization, brand partnerships, and film/television opportunities.
The catalog includes some of Savage Garden’s biggest international hits. Together with vocalist Darren Hayes, Jones co-wrote Savage Garden’s catalog, including their international hits like “To the Moon and Back” and “Truly Madly Deeply.”
The duo’s self-titled debut album sold well over 12 million copies worldwide, featuring hits like “I Want You,” “To the Moon and Back,” and “Truly Madly Deeply.” Their second album, Affirmation, was released in 1999 and included “I Knew I Loved You,” which spent four weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as the album’s title track “Affirmation.”

In 1997, Savage Garden won a record 10 ARIA Awards from 13 nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Group, and Single of the Year for “Truly Madly Deeply.” More recently, the duo celebrated their induction into APRA AMCOS’ Billions Club, largely built from the success of the aforementioned track, which was also one of their two U.S. #1 hits.
The pair split up in 2001, and vocalist Darren Hayes went on to enjoy a successful solo career comprising five studio albums. Following Savage Garden, Jones largely stepped away from public life, focusing on family, business interests, and selected creative projects. Their Savage Garden catalog continues to be heard around the world and remains a significant part of pop music history.
