Taking care of the environment and thinking about reducing the consumption of plastic, more and more drivers in Latvia choose to fill up windshield fluid in machines available at Neste gas stations (DUS). In 2021, the demand for windshield fluid filling Neste DUS has increased by 166% compared to 2020. Latvian residents reduced the amount of plastic cans by more than 93,000 units in 2021.
“These filling machines are customer-friendly and very easy to use – drivers can fill their car’s windshield fluid tank with a gun from a pump. This really simple step helps limit plastic consumption to create a greener planet for all of us. Every year, more and more residents of Latvia choose to use this service, which is why we are pleased that the demand for this service increased by 166% last year. Also this year, we will continue to develop the availability of windshield washer fluid dispensers in an even wider Neste DUS network throughout Latvia, so that the choice for a cleaner planet is available to everyone,” reveals Armands Beiziķis, Chairman of the Board of Neste Latvija.
Motorists can pay for windshield fluid in different ways – at the payment terminal, using a Neste card (individual or company) or bank cards, as well as using the Neste mobile application. For more convenient filling, Neste card customers will receive a discount for this product. Neste DUS is currently available winter windshield cleaner with a frost resistance temperature of up to -21°C.
Currently, there are 53 Neste DUS automatic windshield fluid filling machines available, and this year it is planned to install 8 more automatic machines throughout Latvia.
