Organisers of the Mundi Mundi Bash have unveiled a star-studded line-up for the annual music festival in 2024.

Key points:

  • Mundi Mundi music festival has unveiled its 2024 line-up
  • Headliners include Daryl Braithwaite, Vanessa Amorosi and Tim Finn
  • More than 12,000 people attended the bash in 2023

Daryl Braithwaite, Ian Moss, Vanessa Amorosi, Tim Finn and The Living End are just some of the artists who will take to the outback stage.

More than 12,000 people attended the remote festival at Belmont Station, 35 kilometres outside Broken Hill, in 2023.

The fourth-ever bash, which will take place from August 15 to 17 next year, will also feature Diesel, James Reyne, Mark Seymour, Richard Clapton and Baby Animals.

Several bands from this year’s event, including Chocolate Starfish and Furnace and the Fundamentals, will also return to the 2024 line-up.

‘Atmosphere of freedom’

Organiser Greg Donovan said Mundi Mundi’s far-west NSW location was one of the reasons the festival had grown so quickly since its inception.

“There’s a few things that separate it [from other music festivals] … the big, broad, red dirt plains,” he said.

“[There’s a] real atmosphere of freedom, being in the outback under the big blue skies there.”

In 2024, organisers are hoping that opening the gates three days prior to the event will entice more campers and caravanners to visit the region before the festival officially kicks off.

“It gives more people more time to come in and be on site and set up camp and just enjoy it out there,” Mr Donovan said.

“We think that’ll be a really great benefit for local business and all the towns surrounding Broken Hill.”

Mr Donovan said he hoped announcing the line-up so far in advance would give more people more time to  prepare for next year’s event.

“It gives people a little bit of time to get organised,” he said.

Tickets for the 2024 Mundi Mundi Bash go on sale on October 19.
