Peacock’s “Love Island” is defining the soundtracks of the summer as user-generated Spotify playlists see a 6,300% increase in streams.
It seems like Peacock’s “Love Island” is everywhere this summer, and Spotify is no exception. Since the show’s premiere on June 3, streams of the Season 7 theme song, “Make Me Feel – EDX Dubai Skyline Remix” by Janelle Monae and EDX have spiked nearly 2,000% on Spotify in the U.S.
Fans have also flocked to Spotify to tap into the “Love Island” craze, driving a 6,300% increase in streams of user-generated “Love Island” playlists since the season premiere. Top tracks added to these playlists include “360” by Charli xcx, “Confident” by Demi Lovato, “Let’s Love” by David Guetta and Sia, and “No One Dies From Love” by Tove Lo.
Diving into the deep end of the craze, fans are also creating playlists for their favorite Islanders, including Amaya, Chelley, Huda, Olandria, and Iris. Some of the top tracks added to user-generated Spotify playlists for specific “Love Island” stars include:
