During the last years, a lot of young wrestlers appeared in Latvia, who represent Latvia in the international arena. Athletes represent their homeland in MMA (mixed martial arts), boxing, karate and kickboxing, raising the flags of their homeland in the championships of popular world organizations.
“Today, Latvia can be proud of many wrestlers who carry the Latvian flag in such famous fight show organizations as “PFL”, “KSW”, “Karate Combat”, “Glory” as well as “Golden Contract”. Professionals Kristaps Zile, Aleksandr Chizhovs, Artjoms Ramlavs, Olegs Yemeljanovs, Daniks Vesnenoks, Richards Bolotniks and Edgars Skrivers won the top of the sport with their own efforts and the help of supporters. Unfortunately, all spheres are suffering at the moment, as well as sports. But if today, due to the crisis and increased prices, sponsors will no longer have the opportunity to support? Will wrestlers be able to continue their professional careers without quality sports camps and serious preparations? I always ask myself the question at what point will the country help those who raise its flag in the international arena?” – says public relations specialist Levs Berezins.
Since 2014, Berezins has been actively cooperating with all Latvian wrestling organizations and worked as a press secretary in several wrestling tournaments.
