Latvia wins the silver medal in the team relay

The eighth stage of the Eberspächer World Cup ended with the team relay, in which the Latvian national team was represented by Elīna Ieva Vītola, Kristers Aparjods and Andris Šics/Juris Šics.

Elīna Ieva Vītola showed the fourth best result in the race, Krister Aparjodas – the third finishing time, and Andris Šics/Juris Šics, completing the team relay, showed the second best result, which allowed the Latvian team to win the silver award.

With the Latvians conceding only by 0.006 seconds, the Austrian national team is in third place. The victory was won by the German national team with Julia Taubitz, Johannes Ludwig and Eggert/Benecken.

Next weekend in St. Moritz. Switzerland will host the final stage of the World Cup, as well as the 53rd FIL European Championship.
