Latest Music Industry Hires: Warner Chappell, Arista, 300 Entertainment, BMI, Muserk, More

Warner Chappell Music (WCM)

Warner Chappell Music has hired The Artist’s Attorney founder Catalina Santa Peña as WCM Colombia’s managing director, while former Meta and Google music exec Arica Ng has signed on as president of WCM Asia Pacific.

Veronica Sanjines, previously VP of marketing at Warner Records, has joined Sony Music’s Arista Records as general manager.

300 Entertainment

Warner Music’s 300 Entertainment has announced three promotions, upping seven-year company vet Ryan MacTaggart to SVP of artist development and lifestyle marketing, elevating former Columbia higher-up Gary Sargeant to VP of urban and rhythm promotion, and naming former UMG exec Michael McArthur VP of A&R.

Nine-year Broadcast Music, Inc. team member John Coletta has been promoted to SVP and managing director, international.

Muserk

Muserk has hired former Universal Music Publishing Group data professional Sophia Pin as music rights technical administrator.

Screencastify

LearnCore co-founder Vishal Shah is now CEO of Chicago-headquartered Screencastify. The self-described “leading end-to-end video creation platform” has also named Paul Ray (likewise a LearnCore vet and most recently an Amazon Web Services higher-up) CTO and promoted former EAB VP Alex Stepien to president and CRO.

Former Greenberg Traurig and iHeartMedia attorney Gabe Fleet has joined Latham & Watkins as a partner in the firm’s connectivity, privacy, and information practice.

Publishing vet Nigel Elderton has become chairman of music technology company Audoo.

Former BMI VP of creative for Europe Shirin Foroutan has joined UMPG as SVP and GM for Europe, succeeding GM of European operations Simon Baker, who’s set to “continue at the company in a senior management capacity.”

Additionally, 21-year team member Jonas Wikström is succeeding Martin Ingeström (who will retire in June) to become Universal Music Publishing Scandinavia’s MD of the Nordics.

First Artists Management (FAM)

FAM has hired Zoe Hart (who joins from Faber Music) as an agent in its European office and elevated Hailey Flame (who’s been with the company for more than two years) to the same position in Los Angeles.

Following the departure of Warner Music CEO Stephen Cooper, EVP and CFO Eric Levin has announced that he’ll retire later this year.
