The woman who allegedly stalked and attacked former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has been arrested, according to the LAPD.

A woman accused of stalking and assaulting former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham was arrested on Saturday, the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed. The 55-year-old Michelle Dick was arrested at around 7 PM at a hotel in Fort Wayne, IN, about 120 miles northeast of Indianapolis—and roughly 2,000 miles away from Santa Monica, where she allegedly threw an unknown substance at Buckingham as he entered a building for an appointment.

Dick has a history of stalking Buckingham and had a warrant out of California after she was accused of dousing the 76-year-old Buckingham with a mystery liquid earlier this month. Buckingham was not injured in the attack.

The LAPD reports that Dick was known to the musician and his family from previous incidents. Buckingham was granted a restraining order against her in December 2024, which mandated that she stay at least 100 yards away from him, his wife, and his son. She was also ordered not to harass or attempt to make contact with them.

According to that filing, Buckingham wrote that Dick had been loitering around his and his family’s homes, called repeatedly and left threatening voicemails, and taped a photo collage of herself and Buckingham to his mailbox. But when she placed a false emergency call against Buckingham, claiming she heard gunshots inside his home, police arrived and handcuffed him while they cleared the scene. This, he said, was the final straw.

Since her arrest, Dick has been taken to the Allen County Jail in Fort Wayne to await extradition to California. Court records show that she faces multiple charges, including stalking, vandalism, battery, and criminal threats. Law enforcement said both the Los Angeles and Santa Monica police were investigating the case.

Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975 and played with the band until 1987. He later rejoined the group in 1997 until 2018  when he sued the band for kicking him out of the group. That lawsuit was later settled.
