Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS taps Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter SZA for its latest underwear advertising campaign.
SKIMS, the brand of “next generation” underwear, loungewear, and shapewear co-founded by Kim Kardashian, has announced the launch of its latest underwear campaign featuring global sensation and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter SZA. The campaign debuts on the opening night of the final stop in SZA’s sold-out SOS tour at The Forum in Los Angeles.
“I’m excited to be in SKIMS’ latest Fits Everybody underwear campaign and to align myself with a brand that strives to make women feel both comfortable and sexy,” says SZA.
As she continues to take the music industry by storm, SZA’s critically acclaimed album, SOS, spent ten non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. SZA represents an incredible influence and female success story of determination, diversity, and distinctive talent — attributes that SKIMS believes reflect that of its community.
“SZA’s honesty, confidence, and dynamic energy are unparalleled,” says Kim Kardashian, SKIMS co-founder and Creative Director. “She’s truly the woman of the moment, and I’m so honored for her to be featured in SKIMS’ latest campaign.”
“SZA is a defining voice in popular culture today, a multi-faceted artist who’s an inspiration to women everywhere,” says Jens Grede, co-founder and CEO of SKIMS. “We are thrilled to spotlight SZA in this campaign as we believe she embodies the values of SKIMS.”
With the latest campaign, SKIMS continues aligning with pop culture moments to solidify the brand as a significant celebrity casting and marketing player. SKIMS partners with talent in a way that enables them to be involved creatively and shine independently.
To honor SZA’s SOS Tour, the campaign debuts today, March 22, on billboards around The Forum in Los Angeles, across the U.S., and launching on digital and social platforms. Shot and directed by Greg Swales, longtime SKIMS creative partner, the SKIMS Fits Everybody campaign featuring SZA is live starting today.
