Fortnite Festival returns for its fifth season, featuring Karol G as the newest musician to star in the online event.
Karol G is the newest star to feature in Fortnite Festival for the fifth season of the online event, beginning August 16 and running through November 2 in Fortnite. The Colombian artist will headline the new season, featuring a premium reward track full of Karol G-themed in-game items and outfits.
The event will also feature a limited-time playable concert from August 23 to August 26. “Karol G’s playable concert, ‘Karol G MSB Fortnite,’ is a one-of-a-kind music experience where you can dance it out all weekend long,” says Fortnite developer Epic Games.
“More than just a setlist of hit tracks, this is a five-part visual journey through Karol G’s life and music career. In terms of gameplay, fans can collect EmPower-Ups in the music experience to blast away negative energy and spread positive vibes in this neon-drenched party.”
New Karol G songs will be available to play in the Fortnite Festival rhythm music game, including “Cairo,” “Oki Doki,” “Provenza – Remix,” and “Qlona.” The rhythm-based game enables fans to play in a band with friends or perform solo with hits from their favorite artists, all available to play for free within the world of Fortnite.
The new Karol G-themed in-game items include a Bichota Season Karol G Outfit, the Bichota Mic, and the Bichota 6-String Guitar. The pack of items is available to purchase in Fortnite for 1,800 V-Bucks.
The Latina artist has received a Grammy Award, five Latin Grammy Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and the 2024 Woman of the Year Award from Billboard. She is the first female artist to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 with an all-Spanish language album, Mañana Será Bonito.
Karol G is only the latest in a growing list of artist to be featured as headliners in Fortnite Festival, including Metallica, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, and Billie Eilish.
