The real estate developer Kaamos has founded a new construction company Kaamos Construction in Latvia, celebrating it with a ceremonial laying of a capsule in the developer’s latest project Ābelziedu terases, located in Teika, Laimdotas Street 38. Two four-story buildings with 72 apartments will be the first buildings built by Kaamos Construction in Riga. This year, the new company plans to build two more houses in Mežapark, reaching a turnover of approximately 12 million euros.
“In our projects, we also want to fully control the construction process and the quality of the work done, in order to provide our customers with the best housing within the specified deadlines. We are pleased that, along with the third project of Ābelziedu terraces implemented by Kaamos in Latvia, we can ensure its sustainable and energy-efficient construction by ourselves, using the most current engineering solutions,” says Ingus Baumanis, head of Kaamos Construction.
The energy efficiency of the terrace houses of the Abelziedu project will meet the requirements of an almost zero energy building. Each Scandinavian design apartment will have underfloor heating with a separate meter, which will enable residents to control heat energy consumption, as well as individual ventilation equipment – recuperators with a heat recovery function for a healthy microclimate. The fenced area of the project will include storage facilities, parking lots, a children’s playground, a separate building for parking bicycles and also a bicycle repair station. The 2.7 m high ceilings, as well as the balcony or terrace in each apartment, will give a feeling of spaciousness in the apartments, while the solar panels will ensure the electricity supply of the common areas.
“By establishing the Kaamos construction company in Latvia, we have taken the next step in strategic development. In Estonia, Kaamos Group has been successfully implementing the practice for more than 15 years, not only developing real estate projects, but also building them themselves. Our experience shows that in this way we can ensure quality standards that are in line with our company’s values, more fully plan the course of project implementation, as well as more effectively control construction costs, which is especially important in the current challenging real estate market situation,” says Kaamos Real Estate. chairman of the board Guntars Cauna.
Since the start of its operations in Latvia in 2019, the real estate developer Kaamos has implemented the Two Shores project in Ķengaraga, consisting of two attached buildings with 132 sold-out apartments. There is also great interest in the company’s latest residential building projects – Moho Park in Mežaparka, where more than 75% of the 154 apartments in two 12-storey buildings, which are currently under construction, have found their owners, as well as Abelziedu terrace houses in Teika, where 25% of the apartments have already been reserved. for new housing.
The total investment in the Abelziedu terrace project is planned to be 11 million euros. The construction of both buildings, as well as the improvement and landscaping of the territory, is planned to be completed in the first half of 2024, with the planting of at least 10 new trees. The capsule embedded in the foundations of the apple blossom terrace houses holds the message of Kaamos values and wishes for the new home owners. Not only representatives of Kaamos and architects’ office Tectum, construction supervisor Andrejs Rudakovs from Rupo, but also the future residents of Ābelziedu terrace were present at the solemn moment.
