Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has, late on Saturday, provided an update on his future with the club.
The subject of Klopp’s place on the bench on Merseyside has of course come back to the fore in the media headlines once more this evening.
This comes after Liverpool were condemned to another alarming defeat, amid what has proven nothing short of a nightmare campaign to date.
After being ousted from the FA Cup by Brighton & Hove Albion in their previous outing, the Reds turned their attentions back towards matters in the Premier League, desperate for a bounce-back result in a meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
When all was said and done at Molineux, however, Liverpool’s woes only continued to mount.
This came as an early Joel Matip own goal was followed by further strikes on the part of Craig Dawson and Ruben Neves, en route to a remarkable 3-0 Wolves triumph.
With Liverpool’s latest loss meaning that the Merseyside giants remain in the depths of mid-table, and with their European prospects for next season hanging by a thread, it should, in turn, come as little surprise to hear that Jurgen Klopp was once again drawn on his future with the club during his latest post-match press conference.
The German tactician, though, remained defiant with his response.
Leaving absolutely zero room for interpretation when asked if he is still the right man for the job at Anfield, Klopp insisted:
‘Yes, yes, yes. Absolutely. ‘
