The Bullitt Group, the global licensee of Cat® phones, today adds two new 5G devices to its product line, unveiling the next-generation Cat S53 smartphone and announcing the availability of its first mobile Internet network, the Cat Q10.
These new Cat 5G devices provide significantly faster download and upload speeds, which are critical to accommodate the ongoing digitization of a large portion of Cat’s ruggedized phone segment customers.
For example, McKinsey & Company* points out that the digitization of products and processes is particularly impacting the construction industry, where there is an increasing reliance on data-driven decisions and collaboration. From smart buildings to project management, without access to high-speed data, daily processes are often delayed and disrupted.
Access to high-speed Internet is essential for every new construction site, every logistics crew that prioritizes increasing e-commerce deliveries, smart warehouses, and every job that depends on data-driven decisions that are rarely available to the entire team from day one. The Cat Q10 solves this problem by being able to securely connect 32 devices, even 4G or WiFi-only devices, at high 5G speeds, ensuring optimal productivity right from the start of every project.
As the first 5G Cat phone, the S53 delivers high-speed and reliable connectivity, whether you need it to increase productivity on a busy construction site, access shared work documents or make calls. The Cat S53 is an Android smartphone that will see you through your busiest days.
The Cat S53 is also packed with a host of useful features, and its advanced design is protected by the Mil-Spec 810H military-grade durability that Cat phones are so famous for.
Enhancements include a large 6.5-inch HD+ screen, making it an ideal tool for viewing or sharing videos or images captured with the high-quality Sony48MP camera. That big screen is nothing to worry about, as it’s protected by a thick tempered glass panel with a recess that’s designed to be extremely scratch and impact resistant. The Cat S53 has been thoroughly tested in real-life conditions and is capable of withstanding multiple drops and shocks.
The latest Cat phone features an ultra-bright, built-in flashlight on the top that can be turned on with a softkey on the side to instantly illuminate a dark workspace. It also has a large battery, so there’s no need to worry about finding a charging source, but when you do have access to power, the phone has support for 18W fast charging and Qi wireless charging. The phone is easy to grip, even with gloves on, and has a mount for hanging and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for maximum convenience at work.
This phone can be dropped, covered in mud, or left out in the rain. It’s a phone you can use to stream high-quality video on its big, clear display one moment, and toss into your gear bag or toolbox the next.
The Cat Q10, on the other hand, is a 5G mobile internet router that provides reliable and fast connectivity for multiple devices and is especially suitable for outdoor use thanks to its durable and all-weather design.
The Cat Q10 is easily portable and can be used in countless ways by both businesses and individuals.
Whether the device is needed to maintain safety and convenience on remote construction sites, to keep teams on the road connected, or to ensure that businesses and outdoor events have a solid point-of-sale connection, the CatQ10 will keep you that much-needed connection . It can even provide holiday properties or hospitality venues with previously unavailable broadband.
The Cat Q10 is also useful for families and individuals on the go or in places where WiFi networks cannot be relied upon. Perfect for hooking up on a camping trip, using by the pool to entertain everyone on holiday or for working in your new garden office. With the Cat Q10, you can connect 4G or WiFi-only devices to a fast 5G connection so you can keep playing music, stream video, keep your family connected and work safely from home or on vacation, whatever the weather.
The Cat Q10 is quick and easy to set up and can securely connect up to 32 devices at once, providing a stable connection thanks to Wi-Fi 6 and 5G speeds. Crucially, it also offers greater security and privacy control and much more flexibility than public Wi-Fi networks.
The Cat Q10 has a super-capacity battery, providing up to 10 hours of operation to keep your connected devices online for longer. In case you need to use the device even longer, but there is no way to charge it, the battery can be replaced.
The Cat S53 smartphone will be available for an MSRP of €499 starting August 8, while the Cat Q10 mobile internet
