With the addition of Mountain Day as a national holiday in 2016, the Japanese people have almost achieved the trifecta of land-, sea-, and sky-based holidays. However, for now, Japanese people will have to make do with Marine and Mountain Day holidays on July 20 and August 11 respectively.
