September 25 marks Chūshū no Meigetsu (中秋の名月, Harvest Moon) in Japan. Sometimes called Jūgoya (十五夜) The day is oft celebrated with Tsukimi moon-viewing and displays of Tsukimi Dango (moon-viewing rice dumplings), chestnuts, and susuki (Chinese silver grass). Anime and manga are no strangers to Tsukimi, so let’s look at all the moon-viewing from this year’s Chūshū no Meigetsu from the anime and manga worlds:

The hand reaching toward the moon in the RE ENGINE logo design embodies “Reach for the Moon” (challenge the impossible), which is the origin of the engine’s name.
