Endrick admits he has been “amazed” by the facilities on offer at Real Madrid after spending two weeks with his future employers.
The teenage striker can only formally complete his £60m transfer to Madrid once he turns 18 next summer but, with the Brazilian season now over, Endrick has flown to Spain for a taste of life with Los Blancos and was in attendance for the 4-1 victory over Villarreal.
“I have been frankly impressed by everything that surrounds the team,” he told AS. “I am passionate about everything, the stadium, the Valdebebas facilities, my teammates, the president… I am amazed and I hope to start my new stage soon, but first I want to finish in a big way with Palmeiras.”
In a separate interview with Marca, Endrick repeatedly stressed his excitement at living out his dream of playing for Madrid.
“It will be a lot of responsibility, a great challenge,” he continued. “I am very excited to play with that shirt and be able to enjoy it with the fans.
“It is a dream that I have had since I was little, to be part of Real Madrid. I know that I still have challenges ahead of me at Palmeiras and I have to meet them or at least help my team to be at the top, but of course I am also thinking about Real Madrid.
“I hope to have a brilliant career there, in a great, impressive stadium. It’s a dream since I was a child. All the children have it, many football stars have played there. I went to a game a while ago and I was able to experience the atmosphere, the fans… It will make me very happy to play there.”
Endrick also hailed fellow Brazilians Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior for offering plenty of advice ahead of his permanent switch to Madrid.
“I have had the opportunity to share time with them,” he explained. “Remember that image of the three of them on the bike training? They asked me if I was going on vacation, I had to go. They have told me many things about everyday life, about the importance of everything that happens, about the greatness it has in every sense, but they tell me that you realise it when you are there.”
