Senator Uche Ekwunife has refuted reports that she has abandoned Atiku Abubakar for Peter Obi insisting on Sunday that the Labour Party presidential candidate does not have the permutations to win the presidential election.
. reports that news reports had quoted Ekwunife as calling on her constituents to vote for her in the Senate election and vote for Obi in the presidential election during a stakeholders’ meeting last Sunday.
Speaking in Igbo, she was quoted to have said: “Vote for me in PDP. In the presidential election, we all know where we are going to vote. We are politicians. We know this game very well. It’s on our fingertips. Peter Obi is our son and my mentor; we can’t work against him.”
