Noodle chain restaurant Ramen Ya is seeking justice after a delivery driver allegedly punched an employee after a mix-up with an order.
Ramen Ya uploaded a post on Instagram today showing an employee named Yuli Fitriyani, 24, sporting a black eye, alleging that a delivery driver for Gojek punched her in the face on Feb. 3 at Lippo Mall Puri, West Jakarta.
The post also contains a medical note saying Yuli suffered trauma in her right eye from a blunt object, as well as a police report against the driver for assault.
In a separate post, TikTok star Agnes Jennifer, who is acquainted with Ramen Ya owner Yansen Salim, outlined what transpired that day as she and the restaurant chain seek justice for Yuli.
According to Agnes, the driver picked up the wrong order from Ramen Ya in Lippo Mall Puri and was heading out of the shopping center. Realizing the mistake, Yuli ran up to him to give him the correct order, only to be repaid with a punch in the face.
Gojek replied to Ramen Ya’s Instagram post saying that it has banned the driver from ever working for the company.
Gojek says it has been in touch with Yuli and Ramen Ya to pledge their support for medical and psychological treatments the victim may require.
Police have not released any statements regarding the incident as of this article’s publication.
