Over two years after their initial release, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are finally in stock on Amazon. That’s right, they’re in stock! No wait list, invitations, or mad dash needed to get your hands on the latest consoles from Sony and Microsoft.
But that’s not all going on in the deals world on this Saturday. The amazing Xbox Series S has a $50 discount, and you can also save on a new Xbox controller to go with your Series X|S. We’re also sharing a way that you can get two brand new, first-party Nintendo Switch games for $45 each! You have to jump through a few hoops to get this deal, but the $30 in savings is worth it. Plus, there’s a nice discount today on Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion, which is one of the coolest board games I’ve ever played. These deals and more below.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X Finally In Stock on Amazon, No Invite Needed
Yes, it’s real! The PS5 and Xbox Series X can finally be purchased like any other normal product on Amazon. The PlayStation 5 bundle comes with the disc version of the console, a DualSense controller, and last year’s stellar God of War: Ragnarok, which earned a 10/10 in our review. It’s one of the best games on the platform, and a great way to get your PS5 journey started.
The Xbox Series X bundle comes with a game that’s just as awesome: Forza Horizon 5. This gem won IGN’s Game of the Year award in 2021, and it’s a beautiful showcase for the power of the Series X. It also comes with the great Hot Wheels expansion, which let me relive my childhood by driving toy cars on the bright orange Hot Wheels tracks. Both consoles are great choices, and now that they’re in stock, you can actually choose the one you want!
Xbox Series S Is $50 Off
While all the hype may surround the PS5 and Xbox Series X, I have a personal love for the Series X’s little sibling, the Xbox Series S. This digital-only console is the perfect Game Pass machine, and today it’s on sale for $250. I use my Series S all the time for new Game Pass games like Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Halo Infinite, and more. It’s the perfect third console if you already have a PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, but really, really want to see what all the hype is surrounding Hi-Fi Rush.
Save on Xbox Wireless Controllers to Go With Your New Console
There are a ton of great multiplayer games on Game Pass, from old split screen Halo campaigns, to TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. So, you’ll probably want a second controller sooner than later. Today, you can get the special Mineral Camo Xbox controller for $49.99, which is a nice discount off the $64.99 price tag. Pair this with the Series S, and you’ve got multiplayer Xbox gaming for just $300 — it’s tough to beat that!

Fire Emblem Engage Discounted, Rare amiibo Still In Stock
Fire Emblem Engage came out two weeks ago, and Walmart’s got it for five bucks off. It’s not a huge discount, but if you just can’t wait any longer to hop into the amazing tactics gameplay, you can save a little bit of money on the game today. Plus, if you’re an amiibo hunter like me, you can still grab the three reprinted Fire Emblem amiibo at retail price. These amiibo were very expensive on the secondhand market prior to their reprint, and that’s likely going to happen again a few years down the road. The Female Corrin amiibo was running upwards of $150 at times, and if you don’t want to kick yourself for not grabbing the figure once it’s expensive again, you better act now.
No More Heroes 3 Day One Edition On Sale
No More Heroes 3 is a ridiculous video game. Travis Touchdown is back, and this time he’s defending Santa Destroy from Aliens. It’s insane, awesome, a little bit broken at times, but a ton of fun. The PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game came with a bunch of extra goodies, including a soundtrack, an artbook, and a Santa Destroy license plate. If you haven’t played this wacky game, you should definitely check it out!
Track Down Great 3DS Games Before the eShops Close
The 3DS eShop goes down for good next month. Sadly, that means some of the best Nintendo games are going to be inaccessible very soon. That will also mean physical prices of these games aren’t going anywhere but up. To get ahead of that inevitable future, you can start buying some of these physical 3DS games today while prices are still reasonable. The Legend of Zelda: TriForce Heroes is an incredibly underrated 3DS multiplayer game, while Majora’s Mask 3D is a must-play entry in the series. And, if you liked Metroid Dread, Metroid Samus Returns is very similar in gameplay and style, and it retells the story of Metroid 2: Return of Samus from all the way back on the Game Boy.
Big Discount on Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion
Gloomhaven is one of the best tabletop RPGs ever made, and its prequel, Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion, might even be better. For just $34.99, you can get an entire campaign’s worth of tabletop RPG goodness that can be enjoyed alone, or with up to four players. It’s also simpler than traditional Gloomhaven, making it a better place for newcomers to start. I’m playing this with my partner right now, and it’s simply a fantastic time. The learn-to-play guide will take you through your first five scenarios, teaching you more complex rules as you go. The strategy is intense, the worldbuilding is interesting, and the combat is thrilling. I can’t recommend this highly enough!
Catan Starfarers Is 26% Off
Catan Starfarers is a fun spin on the classic board game. A redo of the Starfarers of Catan spinoff from a few decades ago, Catan Starfarers sees players working to build starships, befriend alien races, and be the first to reach distant planets. It also comes with four adorable starship pieces that players use to keep track of upgrades and abilities they’ve purchased for their fleet, which is just a great idea. While it may never replace the original Catan, Starfarers is a nice change of pace for families and board game groups that have played Settlers forever.

The Elite Series 2 Core controller features pro gaming features like adjustable-tension thumbsticks, wrap-around rubberized grip, and shorter hair trigger locks. Microsoft was able to significantly cut the price by removing some of the accessories that the original Elite controller came with. 2022 Apple iPad Air (10.9″, Wi-Fi, 64GB) for $499.99
Back down to the best price we saw during Black Friday. The 2022 Apple iPad Air was released in March of 2022 with a $599 MSRP. It represents a healthy upgrade to the 10.2-inch iPad in nearly all aspects. It boasts a larger screen size (10.9″ vs 10.2″) with both True Tone and P3 wide color. It has the same powerful Apple M1 chip found in the 2021 iPad Pro. Despite the more powerful hardware, the iPad Air is roughly the same size as the 10.2-inch iPad (thanks to the slimmer bezel) and weighs a bit less as well. Charging is done through the universal USB Type-C connector.
Hisense R6 65″ 4K QLED Google TV for $378
The Hisense R6 is essentially the same TV as the A6 but uses the Roku smart TV interface instead of Google TV. Unlike the U6 which uses a VA panel, the R6 uses an IPS panel, which offers wider viewing angles. At this price it’s also over $100 cheaper than a 65″ U6 TV.
NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV Pro for $179.99
The NVIDIA Shield Android TV Pro is still founded on the same hardware from when it was released a few years ago, but the software has been updated to Android 11 OS. The Shield Pro features an NVIDA Tegra X1 CPU (the same processor found in the Nintendo Switch), 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage. In terms of performance and versatility, the Shield Pro blows the Roku, Apple TV, Fire Stick, Chromecast, and just about every other media player out of the water. It’s capable of handling 4K video with Dolby Vision HDR from all of your favorite streaming apps. It also supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus.
The Shield Pro is also one of the only devices that supports GeForce Now, which allows you to stream your PC games to your TV without having to own a gaming PC. A remote PC does all the processing work for you, and all you need is a fast internet connection. It even has a built-in Plex server so you can organize all of your digital media in one centralized location.
