Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show raked in an average of 128.2 million viewers on Sunday, just behind Kendrick, Usher, and MJ’s numbers.

Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday saw an average of 128.2 million viewers, according to data released by Nielsen. It’s just above the 124.9 million average viewers this year for the Super Bowl overall, but down from the record-breaking 133.5 million viewers brought in last year by Kendrick Lamar. Prior to Kendrick, the record was held by Usher for his halftime show in 2024.

According to the NFL, over half of its social media views came from international markets, and the organization’s top-viewed social posts of all time now come from Bad Bunny’s halftime show. Once full global viewership for the fan-dubbed “Benito Bowl” halftime show becomes available next week, the domestic number of 124.9 million viewers could go up significantly.

The domestic viewing number comes from the live/same day Nielsen Big Data+Panel stat, which includes numbers from NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, NBC Sports Digital, and NFL+. Altogether, those viewers made it only the second-most watched program in U.S. television history, behind last year’s Super Bowl LIX, which aired on Fox.

Telemundo averaged 3.3 million viewers for the Super Bowl overall and peaked with 4.8 million during Bad Bunny’s halftime show. That makes Super Bowl LX the most-watched Super Bowl in U.S. Spanish-language TV history.

“The Super Bowl and the NFL once again delivered a blockbuster audience across the NBC broadcast network, Peacock, and Telemundo, and provided an unprecedented lead-in to our Primetime in Milan coverage,” said NBC Sports’ Rick Cordella, remarking on the network’s decision to stick with broadcasting the Winter Olympics immediately following the Super Bowl.

“The Super Bowl and the Olympics are the two most powerful events in the world, and we salute our talented production, tech, and announce teams who delivered best-in-class presentations for our viewers, stations, and partners.”

Apple Music also reports that listens of Bad Bunny’s music were up sevenfold following the halftime show, led by the tracks “DtMF,” “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” and “Tití Me Preguntó.”
