The revamped Dzintars ends its first year of operation with a profit

SIA H.A. Brieger, who is the owner of the Dzintar brand, ended 2021 with a profit of 50,992 euros and a turnover of 1.56 million euros. This is the first year in the last ten years that the amber producing company has closed the year with a profit. After the restoration of Dzintars production, H.A.Brieger has introduced 58 new and renewed Dzintars brand products to the market since last March.

“H.A.Brieger and Dzintars last year was critically important and at the same time successful, because we simultaneously worked in different strategic directions – renewed production and research and innovation capacity, developed new products in different product groups, reviewed all operational processes, looked for new specialists, reworked brand design and packaging .

We also restarted cooperation with trade partners in the local and export markets, as well as started developing the direction of e-commerce. In addition, we constantly study the needs, values and tastes of our customers so that the renewed Dzintars conquers more and more space on the cosmetics shelves of Latvian and European households,” says H.A. Brieger co-owner and manager Anastasia Udalova.

Over the past year, 1.5 million units of products have been produced under the Dzintars brand. The top of the most produced Dzintars products are lip balms, hand creams and the all-purpose cream Nice, as well as shower gels and liquid hand soaps.

“Our goal for the next few years is to become the leader of the Baltic market in the segment of high-quality but affordable cosmetics, adding more and more countries to our export map and expanding in the field of e-commerce both through our own channel and through third-party sales channels,” continues A. Udalova.

According to the results of the audit company NielsenIQ’s latest consumer goods market research “2021’s best new product”, H.A.Brieger has been recognized in two product categories – “Decorative cosmetics” with Dzintars nourishing lip balm Dzintari and “Body care” with nourishing universal cream Nice.

Last year, the company, together with the creative agency, also received various awards at the advertising and creative industry festival ADWARDS 2021 for the best brand identity, brand update, graphic communication and packaging design.
Also, H.A.Brieger has also received ISO 9001 and GMP or ISO 22716 quality management and good manufacturing practice certificates.
