LATVIA- Illusionists Pecolli will surprise the audience of Latvia with a unique event – the international battles of illusionists. “Magic Mania – Wonderland” will take place in Latvia for the seventh time. 9 participants from eight countries of the world will participate in the competition of the best illusionists. Participants and guests of the international event will be received on October 6, 2023 at 20:00 in the premises of Olympic Voodoo Casino in Radisson Blu Latvija hotel.
Illusionists Pecolli have made a careful selection to bring to Latvia one of the most talented and original illusionists in the world, who will compete in the category of stage tricks.
The evening will be in the mood of “Alice in Wonderland” – fun, crazy, colorful and full of surprises, because just by looking beyond the usual, we find something new and unseen. Because only by letting ourselves go wild, we forget to be limited and become free. See yourself in the Looking Glass, try to build a castle of cards, be a guest at a crazy bunny tea party and indulge in miracles, all at the Magic Mania – Wonderland event.
The participants of the Illusionism competition will be judged by the competent jury, headed by Enrico Pezzoli, the founder of the Illusionism Theater / Museum Mystero. Enrico is the president of the World Association of Illusionists (FISM) and the oldest brotherhood of illusionists in the Baltic countries of IBM. Mantas Zmuidinavicius from Lithuania, a long-time guest of “Magic Mania”, Salvatore Rapacciuolo from Italy. From Latvia, popular content creator Beta Beidz (Beāte Bērziņa) will be on the jury.
The star of “Magic Mania – Wonderland” this time will be the world famous Belgian illusionist Raphael. He is a frequent guest at the private events of Hollywood movie stars (both Pamela Anderson and Bruce Willis, etc.), and has performed in Las Vegas and at the Magic Palace in Hollywood. His performance is always characterized by wonderful humor, original tricks and unexpected turns of events. Surprises are guaranteed.
Latvia will be represented by the charming artist Alina Kešane with a flying golden mask. There will be two artists from Italy: Walter Maffei, an illusionist worthy of the French cabaret atmosphere, and Novas, a hot-blooded card manipulator in tango rhythms. On the other hand, James Bond himself – handsome, young, elegant – Tom Wouda will come from France. Finnish representative Hannu Juntunen will demonstrate an elegant classic of illusionism. The winner of the Spanish illusionist competition, Peio Rivas, will also be there. The audience will be able to laugh heartily with the Argentinian illusionist Julian de Rosa, who is also a brilliant juggler. Serbian illusionist Maksim Gladstein will surprise with his magical atmosphere, while Swedish illusionist Adrian Videla will enchant with his theatrically romantic performance, which will not lack roses or mysterious eyes.
Olympic Voodoo Casino’s annual cooperation with the Illusionism Theater/Museum Mystero, creating this International Illusionism Competition, is an important contribution to the development of Illusionism art in Latvia, the diversification of Latvia’s cultural environment and the promotion of Latvia as a tourist destination.
