American jazz singer Gregory Porter will perform in Dzintari this summer

LATVIA – On July 5, popular jazz singer Gregory Porter will perform at the Dzintari Concert Hall, informs the portal balticevents.info.

Porter was born in Sacramento, California, and grew up in Bakersfield. He was deeply influenced by his mother’s love of music and her encouragement to pursue his passion. It was after moving to New York that Porter’s professional work as a producer and songwriter began:

In 2010, the musician released his debut album “Water”, in 2012 his second album “Be Good” appeared, and it was the album “Liquid Spirit” released in 2013 that secured him a “Grammy” award for best jazz vocal album. In 2017, Porter will receive his second Grammy in the nomination for best jazz vocal album for his composition “Take me To The Alley”.

Gregori’s live performances are praised for their emotional depth, dynamic energy and intimate connection with the audience. He has performed at prestigious concert halls and festivals, including London’s Royal Albert Hall and the Montreux Jazz Festival.

The artist is known worldwide for his warm baritone voice and distinctive flat cap. During his career, he has developed a special style, synthesizing jazz, soul, blues and gospel styles.
