this year On June 19, the 42nd graduation of the professional further education program “Border Guard” was held at the State Border Guard College. 63 trainees graduated from the college, to whom the head of the State Border Guard General Guntis Pujāts and the director of the State Border Guard College colonel Mariks Petrušins ceremoniously presented professional qualification certificates at the graduation, awarding the qualification “State Border Guard Inspector” and the special service rank “corporal”. Graduates of the State Border Guard College will continue their service in the Daugavpils, Viļakas, Ludza, Ventspils and Riga administrations of the State Border Guard.
For graduates, training at the State Border Guard College began in August 2021 with the completion of the professional training course program for Border Guards, then in September 2021, the cadets signed training contracts. During the year, the cadets learned general educational subjects related to the border guard industry and the military field, went through qualification practice in the territorial administrations of the State Border Guard and successfully passed the professional qualification exam.
The head of the State Border Guard, General Guntis Pujāts, congratulated the graduates on the successful graduation of the State Border Guard College: “79 cadets started training at the State Border Guard College and 63 left until the finish line. I am happy to note that your course is one of the best according to the average score – it is the highest in the professional qualification exam The percentage of “10” balls in the entire history of the college. I am happy about your enthusiasm for learning and your dedication, that the ranks of the border guards are filled with young, knowledgeable and motivated border guards. I invite you to be strong and I wish you success in the service!”
State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, Dimitrijs Trofimovs, gave words of appreciation to the graduates of the State Border Guard College: “In the future service in the State Border Guard, I wish you not to stop and not give up even in those moments when you face challenges, because you have chosen a profession with a high sense of responsibility and belonging to Latvia. You are working for the community and you have taken an oath. I wish you to keep your passion throughout your professional career. Each of you is special and very important to the Department of Internal Affairs.”
The Director of the State Border Guard College, Colonel Mariks Petrushins, thanked the graduates for the best gift in the year of the 30th anniversary of the State Border Guard College, namely excellent results: “No one has failed the professional qualification exam, the average score in the exams is “8.1” and 12 cadets have obtained the highest rating of “10” points .”

The cadet of the First Training Company of the State Border Guard College Vocational Education Service (hereinafter – Prof.ID) Private Diana Guseva was awarded the honorary title “The best cadet of the year: In the first training company”, cadet Private Kārlis Mihailov was awarded the honorary title “The best senior of the training group: In the first training company “, as well as cadet private Elīna Shcherbakova and cadet private Raivis Skabs were awarded in connection with the nomination for the honorary title “Best border guard of the year of the State Border Guard College”.
Due to the high results in the qualification exam, the cadets of the First Training Company of the State Border Guard College, Prof.ID, were awarded – Karīna Kakaulina, Emīlija Matvejeva, Samanta Berezova, Karīna Novikova, Raivis Skabs, Elina Shcherbakova, Aiga Vanag, Alla Bogdanovicha, Yulia Grigane, Aleksandra Mnaidarova, Alina Selicka and Sofia Tereskina.
