Chelsea have confirmed the sale of Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel to Al Nassr.
The 19-year-old has departed the Blues little over 12 months after joining and without having made a competitive appearance for the club.
He has signed for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr for a fee believed to be in region of £19.1m, with Chelsea standing to make a £6.1m profit.
Angelo played a part of Chelsea’s 2023 pre-season tour under the management of Mauricio Pochettino before heading to sister club Strasbourg on loan for the season. He made 24 appearances during his time in France but failed to score a goal.
Upon his return to Chelsea this summer, Angelo was part of a sizeable senior cohort, including the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell, forced to train away from the first team.
After failing to secure a move away during the English transfer window, Angelo has instead secured a lucrative move to Al Nassr, who have also signed RB Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan and Brazil international goalkeeper Bento this summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea had been in talks over loaning out another of their Brazilian starlets. Flamengo had initiated contact over striker Deivid Washington prior to the closure of their transfer window on Monday, but they could not thrash out a deal in time. Globo claim Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Monaco were all interested in Washington.
Washington was heavily linked with Strasbourg and Hull City during the final days of August but is now in line to remain at Stamford Bridge.
