Rep. Kevin McCarthy is considering leaving Congress following his historic ousting from the top position in the House, according to a report.

Mr. McCarthy, California Republican, has signaled that he would not leave the lower chamber until after the conclusion of the race to replace him as speaker, Politico reported Friday.

The Washington Times has reached out to Mr. McCarthy’s office to confirm whether the former speaker intends to end his career in the House.
