There is a mammoth international fixture list this Sunday with nine games across four different groups as a number of nations continue their push for Euro 2024 qualification.
Both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland continue their campaigns after defeats last Thursday, while the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland and Serbia will also be in action.
Euro 2024 is less than a year away now as the race to be on the plane to Germany come next summer heats up.
Here is your guide to Sunday’s European qualifying matches.
Greece vs Gibraltar – 19:45
Greece will feel confident of finishing this international break with nine points on the board in Group B. A victory over lowly Gibraltar would take them to that total and help distance back-to-back defeats against France and the Netherlands.
Greece breezed past Gibraltar 3-0 in the opening group game and should have no issues dispatching Europe’s third worst team according to FIFA rankings – a side still looking for their first goal in Group B.

Ireland vs Netherlands – 19:45
Ireland’s hopes of qualifying for Euro 2024 look slimmer each matchday with three defeats in four matches all but ensuring they will miss out on next summer’s competition. Stephen Kenny is under pressure as Ireland boss, but his side have been drawn into an extremely difficult group.
Their next match isn’t much easier either with the Netherlands on their way to Dublin. The two sides are yet to face off in Group B, with the Dutch coming into this game off the back of a commanding 3-0 win over third-placed Greece.
This will be the 21st meeting between the two nations with a fairly even head-to-head record. Ireland have won seven of their clashes to the Netherlands’ nine, with four draws too. Their last match finished 1-1 back in 2016 during an international friendly, with Ireland having won two of their last four meetings.

Faroe Islands vs Moldova – 17:00
A match intended for the football hipsters out there, Moldova’s trip to the Faroe Islands is certainly not the most eye-catching clash on Sunday.
Moldova managed a shock 3-2 victory over Poland in their last match in Group E and will be hoping for another three points against the Faroe Islands, with a victory potentially taking them above Poland or Albania.
The two sides drew 1-1 on matchday one, the only point the Faroe Islands have managed so far.

Albania vs Poland – 19:45
Defeats to Moldova and Czechia have put Poland in a difficult position in Group E, with a tricky trip to Albania potentially exacerbating things. Robert Lewandowski‘s brace against the Faroe Islands took Poland to six points and they know a victory over Albania would see them jump into first place.
Albania managed a 1-1 draw away at Czechia to keep them in second, with Sunday’s game a crunch clash at the top of Group E.
Four different teams could finish the international break top of the group, although that would take an enormous goal swing in the case of Moldova.

Montenegro vs Bulgaria
Montenegro came out on top the last time these two sides faced in Group G, winning a cagey affair 1-0 on the road. It has proven to be Montenegro’s only win so far, although draws against Hungary and Lithuania have kept them in contention.
Bulgaria, however, sit bottom of the group on just two points and look highly unlikely to challenge for qualification at this stage.

Lithuania vs Serbia – 19:45
Serbia head into their trip to Lithuania knowing a win could see them secure top spot in Group G. With Hungary not in action, a victory by three or more goals would see them leapfrog the table toppers, albeit having played a game more.
On paper, this should be an incredibly simple hurdle for Serbia to overcome, having beaten the fourth-placed side 2-0 in the reverse fixture. However, Lithuania are currently undefeated at home after draws with Bulgaria and Montenegro.

Kazakhstan vs Northern Ireland – 14:00
Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland are very fortunate San Marino are in their group, otherwise they would be rock bottom and winless in Group H.
Northern Ireland’s 2-0 away win at San Marino is the only joy they have found in a group that has proved too difficult for them, with their most recent 4-2 defeat to Slovenia another bitter blow.
1-0 defeats to Denmark, Finland and Kazakhstan have left them in a perilous position, with qualification surely beyond O’Neill’s men.
On the other hand, Kazakhstan have proved one of the surprise packages of qualifying so far, picking up nine points from five games. While they do currently sit in fourth, they are only three points off first-placed Finland.

Finland vs Denmark – 17:00
In a very tight group, this clash could prove decisive. Finland currently sit atop Group H with four wins from five, but Denmark are only two points behind the side they beat 3-1 on matchday one.
Finland managed a crucial 1-0 win away at Kazakhstan on Thursday thanks to a second-half goal from Oliver Antman, but hosting Denmark will provide Markku Kanerva’s side with a sterner test.
Dropped points away at Kazakhstan and Slovenia have left Denmark a little off the pace, but they will still be expected to qualify. A victory on Sunday would put them in a commanding position, but a defeat could see them drop to fourth.

San Marino vs Slovenia – 19:45
Denmark, Finland and Kazakhstan are all in the hunt for qualification, but so are Slovenia.
RB Leipzig new boy Benjamin Sesko provided a goal and two assists against Northern Ireland on Thursday and will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing one of the world’s worst teams. A victory over San Marino would see Slovenia hit the 13-point mark, which could be enough to take them top depending on the outcome of Denmark’s trip to Finland.
San Marino have unsurprisingly lost all five of their group matches so far, conceding 17 and failing to find the back of the net.
