Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano continues to draw interest from non-European sides

Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano has been linked with moves away from the Napoli, with clubs from outside of Europe particularly interested in the winger’s services.

The Mexican national team icon managed three goals and three assists in 2022/23 as Napoli lifted the Scudetto for the first time since 1990, but the 28-year-old continues to be linked with a move away from the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Lozano’s apparent desire to leave Napoli comes after he chose not to extend his contract on a reduced wage, and club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is actively looking to get the former PSV Eindhoven player off the books.

LAFC, the current MLS Cup champions, have been constantly linked with a move for Lozano all summer. But as MLS’ secondary transfer window closed shut on August 2, it seems as if the only way for the Black and Gold to make a move for Lozano would be in the winter transfer window.

Another club that has made plenty of eye-catching signings has also been linked with Lozano. Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, who’ve already signed the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin, Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez are reportedly interested in signing the Mexican international.

Napoli kick-started their 2023/24 Serie A campaign with a 3-1 victory over Frosinone and are back in action at home against Sassuolo on August 27.
