Dolly Parton is recording a rock album and has teamed up with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr for a rendition of The Beatles’ 1970 hit, “Let It Be.”
Rockstar is the upcoming 49th studio album from Dolly Parton that’s releasing on November 17, 2023 through Butterfly Records and Big Machine Records. It’s a collaborative project with several rockstars after Parton initially refused her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. Following her refusal and after speaking with her husband, Parton said she’d do a rock album of covers featuring musical guests.
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr appear on her rendition of “Let It Be,” with Peter Frampton and Mick Fleetwood also appearing. You can hear the cover below and take a look at the full 30-track listing for Rockstar.
