Russian officials Tuesday once again accused Ukraine of carrying out a “terrorist attack” on Moscow using drones, which resulted in damage to a high-rise office building in the city, an incident that follows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s comment on the war returning to Russian territory.

In a Telegram post, the Russian Defense Ministry said its air defense systems thwarted the attack by destroying two Ukrainian drones over Moscow.

A third drone, which the ministry claims was “suppressed” using electronic warfare measures, purportedly lost control and crashed into the high-rise.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote on Telegram that the office building struck by the drone was the same one that was damaged in an attack last week—although photos suggest that the damage was far less severe on Tuesday.

There were no casualties, Russian state-run news agency TASS reported.

In a televised address delivered on Sunday, Zelensky appeared to address the recent spate of drone attacks on Russia, saying: “Ukraine is getting stronger. Gradually, the war is returning to the territory of Russia — to its symbolic centers and military bases, and this is an inevitable, natural and absolutely fair process.”
