The O2 Silver Clef Awards honored artists across the music industry and raised over $700,000 for Nordoff and Robbins, the UK’s largest music therapy charity.
The fund raising boost will help Nordoff and Robbins’ trained music therapists to support vulnerable children and adults across the UK. The charity works with those with autism, dementia, learning difficulties, brain injuries, life-limiting illnesses, grief, and trauma to communicate through music.
Presented by Edith Bowman for the fifth year running, with Peter Andrew returning to take his regular hosting spot on the blue carpet, the O2 Silver Clef Awards are held to recognize and celebrate the talent of artists and the powerful impact music has on society. Since 1976 through the power of music, the awards have raised over £12M ($13.1M) for Nordoff and Robbins while honoring some of the greatest names in music.
