Cirque du Soleil’s OVO troupe, which will go to Riga, has already performed in Dubai

The world-famous Cirque du Soleil, which gives hundreds of performances around the world every year, will also come to Riga this summer. The head of the company that organizes Cirque du Soleil shows in the Baltic countries visited the OVO show in Dubai and shares his impressions and compares prices.

From June 15 to 18, Cirque du Soleil will perform six performances in four days in Riga, while in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, the circus performed 11 performances in seven days. Also in Riga, we will be able to watch the same OVO troupe, whose performances we could enjoy in Dubai.

“At the beginning of January, I attended one of the OVO shows in Dubai. There, people paid from 60 to 400 euros to attend a Cirque du Soleil show, while in Riga the prices range from 41 to 112 euros. The show is truly unique and unparalleled, this is also evidenced by the fact that the arena in Dubai was full and almost all the tickets for the shows were sold out,” says Tomas Inchikas, the manager of Seven Live, a company that organizes circus shows in the Baltic States.

“In my opinion, Cirque du Soleil is a work of art in itself. The production is unforgettable, musical and exciting for both children and adults. In Dubai, the audience is very cosmopolitan, so I heard all kinds of foreign languages around me from all age groups. It was a great event,” T. Inchikas shares his impressions.
The OVO show, which was first shown in 2009 in Canada, has already been seen live by more than 7 million people in 155 cities and 26 countries. From June 15 to 18, residents of Latvia will be able to watch this excellent circus show in Arena Riga.

OVO is a fabulously colorful journey into the world of insects, full of high energy, wonderful and unusual activity. The OVO (“egg” in Portuguese) show is made up of 100 people from 25 different countries, including 52 artists who present high-level acrobatic demonstrations on stage and redefine the limits of the human body.
“It’s nice to see that the people of the Baltic countries like Cirque du Soleil so much. We have been cooperating with this circus for many years. I admire their professionalism and simplicity, we meet with their representatives several times a year. We greatly appreciate this sincere cooperation and trust,” adds the Seven Live host.
