Activist group “Led By Donkey” stopped traffic near the embassy and poured more than 300 liters of paint on the street.
Activists used wheelbarrows and brooms to paint the street surface, creating a 500 square meter Ukrainian flag.
“Ukraine is an independent country and people with all rights to self-determination,” the activist group said, adding that a huge Ukrainian flag outside the embassy would remind Russian President Vladimir Putin of this.
The police arrested four activists on suspicion of criminal damage and obstructing traffic.
Activists say they used a non-toxic, solvent-free, quick-drying paint that is washable and designed for street art.
