LATVIA —
The mobility app “Forus” was created and developed in Estonia, and in 2022 it successfully launched its operations in the markets of the Baltic countries – Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. In the first six months of operation, “Forus” has already achieved significant results in Latvia – more than 100,000 customers and 2,000 drivers have been registered in the app, the number of which is growing rapidly every day. As of today, “Forus” is introducing an innovative, community-based program in Latvia, “US Token”, which was the company’s next planned development goal in all Baltic countries.
US Token is a community-based approach to building the next super-app. With US Token, customers and drivers will receive tokens as a gift for every trip. On the other hand, already in 2027, everyone will be able to exchange their tokens for real shares of the company. In general, customers and partners will be bequeathed a third of the company, or 30% of all “Forus” shares. In the near future, it is also planned to introduce solutions that will allow customers and partners of the “Forus” app to trade with each other with tokens.
“Everyone who purchases or provides services in the Forus app worth 100 euros will receive one token. Tokens will accumulate cumulatively – using “Forus” services in the amount of 10 euros, the user receives 0.1 token in his possession,” says Sander Sõõrumaa, head of the “US Token” program.
The US Token is the core DNA or business cornerstone of the Forus app. “Already at the early stages of the company’s development, we were convinced that we wanted to not only provide high-quality services, excellent customer service, comfortable journeys and smart pricing policies, but also enable users to become true co-owners of the company and create a community-based business together, ” explains S. Serumas.
Sanders adds in Sorrow that “Sure, you might think it’s just another loyalty program, but tokens can’t be paid for, and they don’t give you any kind of discount or cashback. Tokens allow everyone to become something more than just a customer or service provider – everyone will have the opportunity to legally become co-owners of the Forus app.”
The software developed by “Forus” meets the requirements of users, as token collectors, as well as co-owners. All token collectors can leave feedback and ideas on their personal accounts, while the latest software update that has come from co-owners includes, for example, the ability for the user to plan routes with multiple stops. This proves that US Token is not just another marketing gimmick, but a real way to create something different together with app users!
